YULIETH VALENCIA: Comment to Jorge Martinez.

Hello partner Jorge!

I was watching your video and also reading your article, I really like your video because in it you focus in what the activity guide is asking for, that is explain how do you determine it was a Qualitative study, you show during your video that you have read about this topic, because you have clear the components of a qualitative research and you could show in the document where we can find each one of that components.

For example, you say during your video that the study was qualitative taking into account the techniques of collect data that the researcher implemented like observation, documentary and interview, which is one of the main features of a qualitative research, also you show us that this study was develop with a specific group of people, which is other of the main characteristic, because a qualitative research is more specific than a quantitative research.

For last, I only would like to add that taking into account that the study specified they used 2 methodologies, (quantitative and qualitative), for me this study is implementing a mixed method, because they are implementing both methods.

Congratulations for your work and thank you for your commitment.

Greetings Yulieth.

Hello Yulieth, Your job is pretty clear, at the beginning I was a little confused in your reading part, however, when you explained about the Method I could catched the idea how you could determinate that was Qualitative research. You pointed to the questionaries, observation and documentation which were used by the author. I consider, when you read the analysis data, you could add a short own comment about it.

In general your video is good.

Thank you so much

Hello, Andrea  Ariza

I like your video using fun activities to improve listening skills and it was really interesting as a teacher I considered really handy to apply in a classroom, you made a good job as well, but I suggest you to speak louder, don’t be shy, anyone is judging you, and don’t worry is you forget something try to keep calm down and do it natural, at the beginning I got confused with your pronunciation but most all the time I got your ideas.

Keep working you can do it.

Greetings dear partner Paula,

I think you did a god job choosing an article about specific strategies to work with one of the most dificult language skills: speaking.

About your presentation per se, I believe that your summary of the main ideas of the article was clear and understandable, However,  it would have been better if you spend more time explaining how the research was done, a little more about the instruments that where applied and the results. This is such an important topic for us that we need to know all we can about  all the research conducted in this field, this way, we can determine the effectiveness of this ideas and  strategies and use it in our classrooms.

It would be also nice if you could give us more details about the type of qualitative research and its approach, so we could analyze the different factors in the light of the theories we have studied. Once again, this is such a relevant topic, so thanks for sharing it with us.

Blessings.
